How to enable or disable downloads on Audio.com

Updated over a month ago

How to enable or disable downloads

  1. Go to your Track Page

  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) or Edit

  3. Find the toggle labeled “Allow downloads”

  4. Switch it ON to let others download the audio, or OFF to restrict it

  5. Click Save

Tip: You can change this setting anytime — even after publishing the track.

Managing permissions

  • Downloads are disabled by default on all uploads

  • You can allow downloads on:

    • Public tracks (searchable and visible to everyone)

    • Unlisted tracks (only accessible via link)

  • You cannot currently restrict downloads to specific users — it’s either enabled or disabled for everyone who can access the link

Do users need an account to download?

No — listeners do not need to sign up or log in to download your audio if downloads are enabled.

Download access via direct link only

If your track is Unlisted, the download is only accessible to those who have the link. It won’t appear in search or on your public profile — but anyone with the link can listen and download if permissions are turned on.
